The Shillong Polytechnic is equiped with latest machineries, tools and experienced Workshop Staff to cater to the need of practical traning for the different branches of Engineering.
The present Workshop building which was constructed in 1966 is situated to the left side of the main administrative building of the institute. At present 12 (twelve) different trade shops are euiped to provide practical training to different branches of engineering. The Workshop Superintendent is the over all In-Charge of the workshop training and management of all the shops. The following are the staff members of wokshop of the institute.
